More than 25 years ago, I launched an independent learning and development practice. One of my early projects brought workers, managers, and leaders together to design a new approach to starting up manufacturing lines—making the process smoother, faster, and more effective than they'd experienced before.

I had an early glimpse of what becomes possible when people learn and work differently.

A profound mentorship in women’s leadership and systems change deepened my curiosity and sparked an appetite for adventure that eventually took me to Quito, Ecuador, as a language learner and educator.

Ecuador was in the midst of economic upheaval, adopting the U.S. dollar. Living there turned many of my assumptions upside down. I began to see how differently the world works depending on where you stand—and how often the rules favor those who already hold the advantages.

I came to question something fundamental: How do I help people succeed if we are not questioning the systems that shape their possibilities at the same time?

Upon my return to the U.S., serendipity opened another door to test my fledgling hypothesis. I partnered with a multicultural organization navigating growth and leadership challenges, designing and implementing an innovative bilingual learning system that engaged its people, supported expansion, and delivered significant results.

What began as a fascination with learning had grown into a much bigger inquiry about people, power, organizations, and change.

Over the years, my work has taken me from program design to organizational execution, partnering with leaders and groups to make change happen.

And here's what I've come to understand:

Productive change isn't simply about individuals becoming more capable, or even leaders and structures becoming more effective. Moreover, its about cultivating the social soil of relationships and awareness "under the iceberg" or "below the line" —the interpersonal dynamics, conversations, and capabilities to find shared understanding that help us see differently and find common ground to act together.

That's where innovation, growth, and new possibilities exist.

I bring together decades of experience in adult learning, organizational performance, systems thinking, neuroscience, and emotional intelligence to create a space where accomplished women can explore their own edge spaces—where familiar ways of thinking and operating meet possibilities not yet realized.
